Grace brought her unique counseling style and knowledge to our sessions and is helping my son to gain the weight he needs.

My son has always been behind the height and weight curve which I attributed to his lazy and picky eating nature. I wasn't able to get him to eat more quantity or more variety with the approaches I tried. Our pediatrician recommended Grace and I'm happy we started going to her. Grace counseled my son in a warm and supportive manner which got him to listen and really apply the lessons learned. He's seeing the importance of sticking to a menu plan and is eating for his growth now instead of just eating because "he has to". I'm very encouraged as we are seeing the slow weight gain after 4 weeks on the new plan.

Glad that I looked for professional help and glad that we found Grace.

Grace has provided our family with excellent personalized nutritional analysis and guidance. She is incredibly knowledgeable in her specialized field, and has helped us understand what our bodies need and why, and how to take simple steps to alter current eating habits to accomplish a healthy, energetic lifestyle.

Her guidance has been kind and her feedback always positive and encouraging. I feel very fortunate to have been referred to Grace and recommend her as a highly qualified professional.

I am an 18 year old girl and going into the meeting I was so nervous that she would judge me and tell me that I was doing everything wrong. But after just a couple minutes with her, she made me feel completely at home and gave positive things to work on without ever mentioning anything I was doing "wrong." She is funny, down to earth, and really sweet. She even trusted me to pay her after the session even though it was our first one! I have sturggled with eating for a long time and it was refreshing to hear someone just giving me options instead of ultimatums. She really helped me and just for the record she was always very prompt in answering voicemails and emails I sent her. I also am not sure if Liz C saw the same grace shih as the one this review is for because I saw none of those qualities after working with her and I gain and lose. She has been positive and supportive throughout. Also may i point out that sometimes before you are able to get better, you have to get a little worse. Grace was amazing. I challenge you to just talk to her and if you think she is unhelpful then so be it, but I have full confidence that that will not be the case.

Grace has been great for my son. He suffers with self-esteem and consequently has gained weight in the last couple of years. Grace has helped him to understand the issues and how to deal with it. She is helpful and supportive and provides sound advice. I highly recommend her.

I am a therapist (LCSW) who has worked with Grace for over 10 years. We have shared a number of patients, some of whom were bulimic, anorexic and others with an "ED, NOS"; symptoms of an eating disorder which does not yet meet the requirements for a diagnosis of bulimia or anorexia nervosa. She has benefited our patients tremendously, in fact their treatment would have been incomplete without her part in their care. She has successfully been able to prevent those patients with an "ED, NOS" from becoming anorexic or bulimic. As a therapist I, too have benefited greatly from her knowledge and insights. She not only has vast knowledge of nutrition, but also has fine clinical insights and intuition. She and I have worked together with pediatricians as well who have followed her advice to bring our patients to health and recovery.

She is very competent, very thorough, and insightful in trying to help our child gain weight. Our experience so far with her has been very positive. We like her methodical approach. She can come across in the beginning as being cold but once you meet with her, you will realize that she genuinely cares.

If you are coming across these reviews because you are seeking help for an eating disorder of any kind please read my review.

I have struggled with an eating disorder for over 8 years. In the past 8 years I have sought several paths of treatment including staying in several residential facilities, and even after all of that I still struggled. Eventually, my ED had integrated itself so much into my life that I couldn't separate the two. Essentially, I felt that I had become my eating disorder.

I first heard of Grace after reading her book "DIABULIMIA: Diabetes + Eating Disorders; What It Is and How to Treat It: A Guide for Individuals and Families; A Tool for Health Personnel". When I first reached out to Grace she responded within the first 48 hours. It's cliche to say, but that first phone call saved my life.

I have been seeing Grace for several months now. For the first time in 8 years I don't feel that my life has to be my eating disorder and am making steady progress to a full recovery. Grace is gentle, affirming, and motivating. She has a fantastic ability to dole out "tough love" without being condescending. Grace will push you to overcome the greatest challenges in your life. She will advocate for you and make sure that there is a strong support team to help you along the healing process.

Please know that no one can fight a battle like an eating disorder for you. Grace gives you the tools and weapons you need but it's up to you to fight with them. As someone still fighting this battle, I don't think there's anyone that could want more than Grace standing in my corner. Even if you are only contemplating the idea of treatment PLEASE CALL GRACE. Take it from someone who has been there, you owe it to yourself to get better. Calling Grace will be the best thing you've ever done for yourself.

MY SAVING GRACE!
Ive been struggling with an eating disorder for appoximately 8 years.I have been in treatment for about 3-4 years.Grace has been such a vital support in my recovery, that for the first time in a long time,I finally see the end of this destructive disease in site. She reminds me that it is ok that I am not perfect in my eyes, that progress is worth celebrating, and that I deserve to take care of myself. She is so knowledgable and understanding, that I always feel so confident and excited when I leave our sessions. She is the third nutritionist I have seen, and I am surely going to be sticking with her for the long run.Grace has a sweet, honest, caring disposition, and always makes sure that I have a strong plan in place to confront any recent struggle I have been facing.I highly recommend my sweet Grace, and you will not be dissapointed if you are willing to listen and take your recovery seriously.

I am so sorry if I didn't meet your needs. I wished you had called. Someone was checking my phone messages and return the phone calls daily.

I contacted Grace a few weeks ago using the email address she has listed on her website. Either she doesn't check her email, or she's just very unprofessional and doesn't respond back.

I had one very highly-regarded RD tell me to stay away from her (after I emailed). Well I didn't need to stay away, because she never contacted me back!

So rude and unprofessional. I'm glad karma saved me from having to see her. Reading the other review makes me glad I never saw her.
